Food Talks – Powering up localised food systems
This is the last event in our 2020 series of #FoodTalks, which has an overarching theme this year of ‘We are all emergency respondents now’. The meeting will be held online via Zoom.
Why are localised responses, local food networks and community-driven action important? What are localised food systems and why are they not just about promoting local food? How do localised responses fit in at a national and global level? Join us to celebrate the best of 2020, share inspiring stories and look ahead to 2021. We are delighted that our speakers include Lynne Davis, Open Food Network; Shiri Shalmy, Cooperation Town and Vera Zakharov, Sustainable Food Places Local Action Coordinator, Sustain. Hear insights from our expert speakers and share your own questions and views.
#FoodTalks is brought to you by a partnership of the Food Ethics Council, Impact Hub Kings Cross, Organico, and London Food Link, part of Sustain: the alliance for better food and farming.
There is an optional donation to this event. This will help cover costs and time for the event, but we still want to be accessible to everyone, so only give if you can! To thank you for your donations, our Food Talks partner Organico will be offering a food hamper including some of their delicious, organic and Mediterranean products worth £70.
We look forward to seeing you at the talk! EVENTBRITE LINK TO BE ADDED SOON
